❓ FAQs

Can People Track My Exact Location?

🔒 Your Location, Your Rules

We get it. Car people love exposure, but not that kind of exposure.
That’s why Spota was built from the ground up with privacy-first GPS logic.

When you go live, the app shows only your general area, not your house, route, or parked location. Think city-level awareness, not exact pins.

🧭 Here’s How It Works

  • Limited Radius Visibility: When you tap Go Live, your car appears only to nearby users within a few kilometers, not across the whole map.
  • No Exact Tracking: We never reveal your precise coordinates or route, even to your followers.
  • Automatic Timeout: Your session ends automatically after a set duration (like 60 minutes) to avoid overexposure.
  • Ghost Mode: Want total stealth? Enable Ghost Mode. Once your session ends, your route, pins, and session history vanish from the map and feed.
  • Opt-In Design: Nothing happens unless you choose to go live. You’re always in control.

🚦 Why It Matters

Car culture thrives on visibility, but that doesn’t mean losing privacy.
Spota’s system ensures your flex stays public while your personal data stays private.
You can drive, get spotted, and build your profile without worrying about who’s watching where you go.

🧠 Pro Tip

Turn on Ghost Mode whenever you’re cruising through your neighborhood or parking at home.
It’s your safety layer, and it makes your next live session even cleaner and more controlled.

Spota was built to make car culture more connected, not more exposed.
When you go live, it’s all about the moment, not the map.
